Who has a good method for seeding clover? This is mainly going to be planted just for awildlife food source. I've been told that White Clover should be planted before Aprilin my area (near St. Louis MO) for good results. Anyone else have any input?

Basically just scratch the surface, broadcast, press in with a roller.
If not to big of an area mulch with straw.
Mow down with sharp cutter after plants grow up and go to seed. ....

Also look into red clover, I think you'll get a bigger, leafier plant. ....

We've got red and white clover in the yard. A local ground hog much prefers the red (probably doesn't much fish). The ground hog is welcome but we've laid down house rules. Stay mostly in the bush and no friends, kids or digging under buildings. It probably doesn’t know how important the rules to its well-being.
The red clover just grows here. The white came from a neighbour who wanted to seed her with clover for some reason. A wind blew most of the seed to our place and now we've got most of the white clover as well as a bunch of meadow flowers that my wife prefers to grass. I guess all this isn't too helpful as a seeding method.
